From time to time we may offer contests and you may complete an entry form and, in these case, we may collect additional information about you.

2. What other kinds of personal information do we collect?

We also collect information to provide better products and services to our users. For example, we determine which language you speak and where you are located. We also collect information about what content you might like, which ads you might find the most useful, or what people you might want to know.

Our system may also identify which browser and internet service provider you use to access our Website or the App and device-specific information such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information including phone number. We may associate your device identifiers or phone number with your SICKSPORTS account.

3. How do we collect personal information from you?

We collect information in two ways:

  1. Information you provide to us. For example, many of our products and services require you to sign up for a SICKSPORTS account. When you do, we may ask for personal information including your name, address, email address, Facebook or Twitter user name or account information, and telephone number. If you are under 18 years old, we may also ask for the name, address, email address and telephone number of your parent or guardian. We also may ask for your credit card information. And, if you want to take full advantage of the sharing features we offer, we might also ask you to create a publicly visible SICKSPORTS profile, which may include your name and photo. We may also ask and you choose to provide us with information that distinguishes your location in the settings of your profile, including your zip code and phone number.
  2. Information we collect from your use of our services. Our systems will automatically collect information about the products and services that you use and how you use them, such as which content and advertisements you view and how you interact with them.

When you use our products and services or view content provided by us, our systems may automatically collect and store the following information in server logs:

  • details of how you used our products and services, such as your search queries;
  • telephony log information like your phone number;
  • internet protocol address;

  • Certain services include a unique application number. This number and information about your installation (for example, the operating system type and application version number) may be sent to SICKSPORTS when you install or uninstall that service or when that service periodically contacts our servers, such as for automatic updates.

4. Do we use "cookies" or other technologies to collect information?

SICKSPORTS collects certain information from your browser using small data files called "cookies." We use session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in. This type of cookie helps us recognize a user if he or she visits multiple pages on our Website during the same session, so that we do not need to require a password to access each page. These cookies terminate once the user closes their browser. Further, we use a persistent cookie that stores user login ID (but not password) to make it easier for users to login when returning to our Website. We encode our cookies so that only we can interpret the information stored in them. You may remove or block this cookie using your browser settings to disable the feature.

Our Website contains electronic images known as "web beacons" (also sometimes called single-pixel gifs) and are used along with cookies to compile aggregated statistics to analyze how our website is used. Web beacons may also be used in some of our emails to let us know which emails and links recipients have opened, allowing us to gauge the effectiveness of our customer communications and marketing campaigns.

Your mobile device or computer may also use various technologies to determine location, such as sensor data from your device that may, for example, provide information on nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell towers. We use this information to distinguish requests, not to identify you. You may enable or disable your computer or mobile device to identify and share geolocation with our Website, App and our other products and services.

Accordingly, you hereby grant your consent to us sending your personnel information outside your country of your residence and processing that information on servers located outside our country of residence.

We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of SICKSPORTS when we have your consent to do so. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.

We reserve the right to use any non-confidential information in any manner we feel appropriate.

We may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners – like publishers, advertisers, marketers, other vendors, or connected sites. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our products and services.

Many of our products and services let you share information with others. Remember that when you share information publicly, it may be indexable by search engines including SICKSPORTS.

We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of SICKSPORTS if we have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
  • enforce our Terms of Service including investigation of potential violations.
  • detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
  • protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of SICKSPORTS, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Further, this Privacy Policy does not apply to any products and services offered by any third party including any products, services or sites that may be displayed to you, sites that may include our products and services, or other sites linked from our services. This Privacy Policy does not cover the information practices of other companies and organizations who advertise our products and services, and who may use cookies, pixel tags and other technologies to serve and offer relevant ads.

It is possible that SICKSPORTS or part of its business or one of its affiliates could merge with, acquire or be acquired by another business entity and your personal information could be among the assets transferred. If this occurs, you will be notified of the change by email or notice on the Website.

7. How do we protect and store personal information collected from you?

We work hard to protect SICKSPORTS and our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of information we hold. In particular:

  • We encrypt many of our products and services using SSL.
  • We periodically review our information collection, storage and processing practices, including physical security measures, to guard against unauthorized access to systems.
  • We restrict access to personal information to SICKSPORTS employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it for us, and who are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.

We may store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.

All of your personal information is encrypted by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software when it is transmitted to us via the internet. Our servers are owned and managed by a third party in a secure facility with restricted access. We also truncate your credit card number to the last four digits when we communicate with you about anything you might order on our site only.

9. How do I access and update my personal information?

Whenever you use our products and services, we aim to provide you with access to your personal information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it – unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.

We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or fundamentally changing an existing practice), risk the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup systems).

Where we can provide information access and correction, we will do so for free, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. We aim to maintain our products and services in a manner that protects information from accidental or malicious destruction. Because of this, after you delete information from our products and services, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and may not remove information from our backup systems.

10. What happens if we change this Privacy Policy?

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the latest version of this Privacy Policy on our Website, which is accessible using the following link: Further, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain products and services, email notification of privacy policy changes).
